In short she’s doing better.  Nothing has quite been as I imagined it, and that’s a good thing.  The staff here are truly wonderful.  They have taken wonderful care of our little girl, and of us.  It feels more like we are receiving care as a family.  It was not entirely unexpected.  Many folks have told us their stories.  Laura (from edit1media) told me a little about her perspective, a few months ago, and as we have been updating Facebook and Twitter, there have been many others.

  1. Dear Adam and Joscelyn,
What sweet pictures of Brih. Any experience we ever had with Children’s when our kids were little was excellent. However, they have changed their policy on letting parents go into treatment areas such as OR. When our daughter had to have tests to check her kidneys and urinary tract for cause of infections and wetting they would not let me go into treatment room where they were going to administer anesthesia and put dye into her urinary track. I am sure you have gone through these tests with Brih. It was a tramatic experience for both of us. I can still hear her crying for me as they rolled her onto the elevator. I am so happy they have changed things and let you Adam go in the OR with Brih. I am praying for her recovery to be quick and successful.
    God Bless all of you,

  2. I am so glad to hear from Grandma, Grandpa and you that Brih is doing all right for the circumstances and that there are so many people looking out after her & your family. She and all of you continue to be in our hearts & prayers. G.A.A.

  3. Thank you guys! She’s been a trooper, impressing everyone with her willingness to try everything. As long as she knows it won’t hurt, too much.
