It’s almost out of my system…

Almost.  I have really enjoyed my little trip back into the world of film.  I don’t know that I will make a habit of this.  I can see myself shooting a lot of stuff for myself with film.  It’s really let me be part of the moment, not just watching it.  It’s nice though to shoot, and not deal with post till, well, later.  If at all.  At most, the shots I have up here in film (the entire site) are just shot, scanned, and uploaded.  I will nuke a dust spot if it’s really distracting but that’s it.  Oh and I crop just a bit.  Sometimes.  Deets: Nikon F5, 50mm 1.4, 400NC.

  2. She’s adorable – I haven’t thought of shooting my daughters with film but I just might have to. The colors are fantastic SOOC…Let me ask you, what do you use to scan these?

    • Just a simple Canon 3100(?) flat bed scanner. It’s s… l… o… w…. at only 4 frames at a time. It would be nice to have something that self fed the entire roll. But I only ran 5 or 6 rolls through in April. And for now the Batts are out of the F5. Shooting the girls with film was really fun though.. Mostly Kodak 400NC. I have a few rolls of Fuji to burn at some point.

      • Were you able to find the film locally or did you have to order it? I still have my old N70 and all I need is some good film 🙂

      • E-bay can be a good resource… Although I’ve managed to pick up a dozen rolls from a local photo print lab. I called around and found one with some 400NC that they were going to sell on the cheep. I think if your just messing around with it there is nothing wrong with running exp. film, probably even questionable stuff off e-bay.
