Sun rise…

So here is another shot at HDR.  No pun intended…  I am still not sure I am sold on these… Thus I have not paid for the HDR program, thus the watermarking….

: Shot with 24-75 2.8 @ 24mm 5.6 iso 200, Bibble, Photomatrix & Elements :

I am still not sure about this look…  I am hoping to get permission to post some shots from a 90th birthday several weeks ago that I shot.  Cutest people (the old and young!)

Stay tuned!

  1. Hey Adam,
got to your site through Digital Pro Talk link that you left.

I think this is a stellar pic! The sun really look great with those hills and clouds.

I have Photomatrix and don’t use it much however I have just started out with my first DSLR. I think that you could definitely use HDR compositing and then blend it with other images that weren’t HDR.

I know that Photoshop has an HDR engine built in it and that is what I first used.

Personally, take the sky out of this picture and use it in a composition for one of my projects.

I am not trying to convince you to buy this program but when I saw this image I thought that maybe I should try some HDR and use the interesting results in my compositions.

BTW, like I said I am just starting out with my new camera and most of my compositions I do not own the rights to so I have branched out and started my own blog and will be posting new images to my portfolio soon. The site is not complete cause of work and school and family so keep that in mind when viewing…

I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I really like this image (even if it is just for the sky) and wanted to send my thoughts…

    • Thanks Daniel! I agree that the sky is the best part of this image. I’m not a big one for lots of post production, although just the sky would be a great texture, or background for something else!
